A living Mission Rooted
in Brooklyn and Queens

Our History

Founded in Villavicencio, Colombia, in 1995, our community came to New York in 2004 with a desire to serve the Church with apostolic zeal. After years of prayer, discernment, and collaboration with our bishops, we canonically established our domicile in 2019, making Brooklyn and Queens our permanent home.

Today, we are a young and growing religious community, building a mission for the generations to come. To join us is to become part of the spiritual foundation of a religious institute taking root in Brooklyn and Queens.

For a woman who senses that God may be calling her to something greater, this is an invitation to more than simply joining a community.

  • It is an invitation to help build.
  • To lay a foundation.
  • To give your life to Christ and His Church.

Come and discover the adventure of being part of a living mission from the very beginning.

Charism and Spirituality

Contemplative Ardor
in an Active World

Our charism is to proclaim the Gospel in an itinerant manner so that Jesus Christ may be known, loved, and served throughout all the nations. We are called to follow Jesus with fidelity and unconditional love, proclaiming His Holy Name through the witness of our lives and our dedicated service to the Church.

"We are going to go out along the roads of the world. We are going to preach the Gospel; we are going to proclaim the living Jesus Christ... This is for those who are interiorly free, for those who abandon everything, for the people of the Gospel."
— Father Rafael García Herreros

Before we speak to others about God, we sit with Him in prolonged prayer, drawing our spiritual life from the Holy Eucharist, the mystery of the Cross, the friendship with the Holy Spirit, the tender devotion to Mary, the pedagogue of the Gospel, and the inspirations of St. Teresa of Ávila and Fr. Rafael García Herreros.

The Formation Journey

Discerning with Clarity
The Formation Pathway

A vocation is not a sudden leap into the unknown, but a gradual configuration to Jesus Christ that honors your human maturity and professional journey. We invite you to explore this pathway without pressure, walking alongside sisters who respect your freedom and personal history.

A Day with the Sisters

Our Daily Rhythm in Christ

What does an ordinary day look like when a woman gives her life entirely to Jesus Christ?

For us, the day begins and ends with Him. Our life is shaped by the Eucharist, prayer, the Word of God, Mary, community, and the mission of bringing the Gospel to the world.

Everything flows from our relationship with Christ. We pray so that we may love; we study so that we may know and proclaim the truth; we live in sisterhood so that charity becomes concrete; and we go on mission so that others may encounter the mercy of Jesus

Help Us Bring Christ to the Heart of the City and Beyond

A religious community is built one vocation, one prayer, one act of generosity, and one encounter at a time. Your generosity helps the Preachers of Christ and Mary grow in prayer, formation, community life, and mission—bringing the joy of the Gospel to the heart of the city and beyond.

When you give, you become part of the mission.
